Denim, my love
My love for denim stems from the history and culture rooted in its creation. I focused on re-purposing the past to create the future. Referencing details and fits that tell a story, merged with modern technical materials that have a foothold in the present. I curate collections that are subverted with counterculture influences inspired by musicians, artists and rebels alike.
Eco Denim
Embracing nature signifies a new beginning for the future of denim. I focused on my social responsibilities and tapped into a sustainable ethos. A modern system of thinking was required and I worked on creative and innovative solutions for the future production of denim. Shifting to lower impact materials and embracing technologies, such as laser and ozone treatments which minimize the use of water, energy and chemicals. That’s just the beginning, by eliminating pumice stones in the wash process and combining wash steps, I’m doing my part to keep our oceans clean and our trees green.
All Inclusive
It’s important to celebrate the female form in all shapes and sizes. Volcom for everybody addresses body positivity and launched all inclusive sizing to denim and womens wear. Offering a variety of styles, fabrics and fits for all body shapes.
Tees & Knits
My appreciation for tees coincides with my love of denim. Classic staples and their interpretation is what I find most exciting. Knits offer a sense of stability and ease. Soft, comfortable, playful and adaptive; tees fill many roles in our lives.
Jackets & Outerwear
Outerwear takes you beyond the beach and encompasses form & function. Fusing utility details with feminine or masculine elements fuels my passion for adventure in design and life.
Performance
& Active
Mindfulness is mainstream, appreciating our bodies and mother nature gets a modern makeover and blurs the lines between functionality and fashion. Recycled nylons and polyesters feed into the sustainability conversation, while garment versatility and pack-away features are essential. Lightweight knits and plush fleece creates layering looks that can be worn over other styles, allowing ourselves to adapt to the ever-changing
outdoor environment.
Rebel Rebel
Rebel Rebel is a twisted take on thrift and the discovery of vintage pieces. Reworked classics such as the plaid suit blend the theme of rebellion, resistance & reuse. Pieces are subverted with a punk-inspired feeling, combined with a DIY attitude with a thrifted aesthetic. It borrows from the past & creates a capsule with an edge.
Golden Hour
Golden hour is Inspired by genderless design, as traditional boundaries between mens and womens dressing are blurred. Minimalism with clean silhouettes allow for easy layering, while added touches of washed tie dye help to soften the collection.
Almost Paradise
Almost paradise is a nod to 80’s surf skate culture is key to this collection mixed with 1970’s styling evoking a multi-era appeal. Resort vibes are accented with dark tropical florals and matching sets can be hooked up or worn separate. It’s a nostalgic journey into the counterculture of Venice Beach.
Weekend Warrior
Weekend warrior is a take on new femininity with a modern twist. Reworked classics such as the short suit and overall, incorporated with vintage stripes gives an inclination to travel even if only for the day. The sun bleached palm print on a linen fabrication is key to this collection providing a light airy feel. Reminding me of weekend adventures to Palm Springs.
